Welding Courses

As I’m sure you can imagine, there are many thousands of technical colleges and schools offering welding courses around the country.

So much so, that it can be a little over whelming as to know where to even start looking for a suitable course.

Maybe you have just finished high school and are wondering what you might want to do by way of a career.

Or perhaps you are in a dead end job, with no real prospects or opportunities for advancement, and have decided to look for some thing different and new.

There are probably as many reasons why you might have thought about welding as a career, as there are courses on offer.

However, the fact that you have taken the time to fire up google and search for welding courses  Means that you at least have a passing interest in the subject.

And well you might, welding is a highly regarded and very well paid profession.

There are many challenges and rewards that you might find yourself involved with as you progress through you career.

You might find yourself working on the tallest building in the world, the longest bridge, the next generation of space shuttles or even under water hotels.

Good welders are never out of work and in fact are often actively sought out by specialist companies.

So before dismissing the subject and clicking away, take a little time to look a little deeper. The links and pages on this site should help you along your way.

So then, let us begin.

There are numerous Welding Course Categories are available for all the major welding categories, as well as for some of the specialist areas as well. And these classes can usually be undertaken on either a full or part time basis

Also, the qualification you will receive on completion of the course will be a universally recognised one.

Some of the welding categories available to study are as follows, Spot welding, Seam welding, Butt welding, Flash welding, TIG welding, MIG welding, Plasma welding and Arc Welding. And an example of a more specialist area would be underwater welding.

So when considering which class to take, a quick review of the different categories and there application and income potential is strongly recommended.

Another factor to consider, is the qualifications required with each category individually, as well as the ones which are general to all of them.

An ideal approach, would be to pick a category whose range of job applications appeal to you and do some research into the qualifications, earning potential and length of the course required.

Another obvious factor to consider, is weather or not the course is available in your area, as well as if it’s available to do part time at night school.

All in all then, there is quite a lot to consider before committing to any course of action.

Never the less, welding is a very challenging and rewarding profession not to mention a very well paid one too.

The pages and links on this site will hopefully help you along your way and point you in the right direction.

Take your time, consider all your options then act!!
